- Carnivale's second season premiered with an average audience of 1.8 million viewers. The first season finale attracted 3.5 million viewers. The first season premiere, 5.3 million viewers. Carnivale's first season averaged 3.6 million viewers.

By comparison, Deadwood: The first season finale attracted 3.2 million viewers. The first season premiere, 5.8 million viewers. Deadwood's first season averaged 4.5 million viewers.

Deadwood returns March 6, and it should be interesting to see what kind of numbers it pulls without The Sopranos as a lead-in.
